About The Turtle
Why Turtles
Raymond liked turtles starting when he was introduced to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by his Nee-Nee (aunt Marion) when he was 2 years old. He would watch the cartoons she had on tape and he would later start collecting episodes on DVD that came with TMNT toys he got. He collected TMNT toys and Lego sets. When he was 3 years old, he found a turtle in the park and brought it home. In his sophomore year of high school, he caried a Turtle shell backpack before he got what became his signature Scooby Do backpack. When he was 17, he got his first tattoo. His choice was a tribal turtle on his left shoulder that became the start of what would later become part of the sleeve on his whole arm. He spent 6 hours getting his 1st tattoo that covered his whole shoulder.

This is the original recreation before the center medallion was modified for the tattoos, pins and wristbands. It was created by hand without the use of AI.
Turtle Logo
Turtle pins and logoed wristbands that have a modified version of his turtle tattoo have been created as a tribute to him.
Turtle Logo Design
The image used for the logo was inspired by Raymond's tattoo. His father Roy recreated the turtle in the tattoo to have a tribute tattoo done on himself. The center medallion has been modified to add tribute features that have personal meaning to him. The turtle was also used for a tattoo for his Nee-Nee (aunt Marion) and his cousin each modified with features that have personal meaning to each.
#LLR & 22
The medallion in the turtles on the pins and the wristband have #LLR and 22.
#LLR is the social media tag created by his friends, it means Long Live Raymond. The number 22 has two meanings, It was his Chabot College Football jersey number and his age when he died. Both #LLR and 22 were used at his memorial services.
The other tag used by his friends has been "Ray World" and a variation of the fraise was used for the domain name for this site.
